Arab Girl Held for Suicide Bombing Threat

Ad Feedback - JERUSALEM, Israel - The Shin Bet (General Security Agency) detained a 16-year-old Arab girl in Netanya Wednesday after telling her family she planned to carry out a suicide bombing in Israel.

According to YNet news, who spoke with a Palestinian source in Jenin, the teenager disappeared shortly after informing her family of her intentions.

The source, who described her as "a normal girl from a regular home," said he didn't think she truly intended to carry out a suicide bombing.

After receiving word of her disappearance, Palestinian security forces notified Israeli officials, who found her in Netanya and took her in for questioning.

Palestinian security forces have been relatively successful in wresting control of Jenin from terror cells, which has increased cooperation between Palestinian and Israeli security forces.
