JERUSALEM, Israel - Even Israelis know about 'Joe the plumber,' whose outspoken opposition to Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama's ideology has gotten a good bit of press.
Samuel Wurzelbacher (Joe the plumber) was asked by retired Floridian attorney Stan Chapman, who supports the McCain, Palin ticket, if he believed "a vote for Obama is a vote for the death of Israel."
Wurzelbacher responded in the affirmative.
"I'll go ahead and agree with you on that," he said.
The Ohio plumber also believes Obama will turn America into a socialist nation.
"I'm honestly scared for America," he told reporters at an impromptu press conference. "I love America. I hope it remains a democracy, not a socialist society," he said.
"If you look at [Obama's statements on] spreading the wealth, that's honestly right out of Karl Marx's mouth. No one can debate that. That's not my opinion. That's fact," he said.
