CBNNews.com - An Arab youth approaching the Hawara checkpoint Wednesday afternoon threatening an IDF (Israel Defense Forces) soldier with a knife cowered quickly when the soldier cocked his rifle.

Troops were able to disarm the attacker, who was detained for questioning.

In a separate incident north of Ramallah, a group of Arabs drivers in four vehicles -- three cars and a tractor -- tried to run over a group of soldiers manning the checkpoint.

Soldiers fired their weapons in the air, the perpetrators were arrested and taken in for questioning.

In a third incident, IDF troops detained an Arab driver who rammed his car into their commander's jeep Thursday morning. The officer was not harmed, though the jeep sustained damage.
