CBNNews.com - TIBERIAS, Israel - A group of North American natives surprised Israelis at the Kinneret -- Sea of Galilee -- when they paddled by in a canoe.
The canoe, which was custom built in Canada and shipped to Israel, was crewed by native Maoris and Inuit from Alaska, who prayed that the winter rains will replenish the lake's waters, severely depleted after four below average winter rains.
The crew is part of a group of 450 Native Americans attending a conference at the Nof Ginosar hotel on the shores of the Kinneret.
Members describe themselves as Native American evangelicals, with a deep love for Israel and for Judaism, who want to honor their unique culture and heritage as they serve the Lord.
