CBNNews.com - JERUSALEM, Israel - A report on Israel's Channel 2 claimed that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert offered to cede 98.1 percent of Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) to the Palestinians.
According to the report, aired Sunday evening, Olmert made the offer in meetings with Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas, where the future division of Jerusalem has also been discussed.
Abbas reportedly has demanded that Israel abandon Israeli cities of Ma'aleh Adumim and Givat Ze'ev, but said he's willing to negotiate Jerusalem neighborhoods of Gilo and French Hill.
The report further stated that Olmert offered asylum to 5,000 Palestinian refugees, which Abbas reportedly rejected as far too small a figure.
Their discussions also include Palestinian access to the Dead Sea and the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) so they could claim water rights because the Jordan River would run through a future Palestinian state.
