CBNNews.com - JERUSALEM, Israel - Israel's Counter-Terrorism Bureau issued another warning Monday to Israelis thinking of traveling to Egypt's Sinai beaches.
According to the latest intelligence information, Palestinian terrorists entering Egypt via smuggling tunnels between the Gaza Strip and the Egyptian Sinai plan to kidnap vacationing Israelis and bring them to Gaza.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah terrorists have been threatening to kidnap Israelis in retaliation for the assassination last February of Imad Mughniyeh in Damascus, for which they blame Israel.
On Sunday, the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) issued an order to all soldiers -- active duty, reservists and civilians employed by the military -- forbidding them to visit the Sinai.
"I call on everyone to take these warning seriously and simply not to travel there in the near future," Defense Minister Ehud Barak said.
"I am sure that there will be a time when it will be possible to visit there, but now is not that time," he said.
