CBNNews.com - GAZA STRIP - While the world blames Israel for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, reports coming from the Strip tell a different story.
Hamas is seizing supplies of Israeli and international humanitarian aid -- foodstuffs, medicine, etc., meant to be distributed free of charge -- and selling the goods to Gazans at a profit, according to a report by YNet news.
On Monday, Hamas gunmen opened fire on a convoy of aid trucks that entered the Strip through the Kerem Shalom crossing.
In the past, Hamas gunmen have attacked trucks transporting fuel to Gaza.
Using civilians as human shields is another strategy used by Hamas and other terror groups.
According to eyewitness reports from northern Gaza, Hamas operatives stopped people who were trying to leave their homes and forced them to return at gunpoint.
Other reports tell of Hamas fighters pulling children along by the ears to use as human shields in confrontations with Israeli forces.
The gunmen routinely put civilians in harm's way during firefights in the narrow urban alleyways and often fight from inside civilian homes, ambulances, schools and mosques.
