KEREM-SHALOM CROSSING, Israel - Israel delivered 17 tractor trailer loads of equipment and construction material to the Gaza Strip on Monday.
The cargo included equipment for the Gaza Strip power station, electric poles and cables and an engine that was repaired in Israel for the Palestinian Energy Authority under the auspices of Palestinian Authority's Fatah government.
The trucks also transferred construction material for a sewage purification facility under construction in northern Gaza, financed by the World Bank.
Water pumps and other purification plant equipment were also included in Monday's delivery.
The Gaza Coordination and Liaison Administration, which oversees the daily transfer of some 100 humanitarian aid trucks, coordinated the delivery via the Kerem Shalom border crossing with the Gaza Strip.
The liaison administration's staff oversees the daily transfer of some 100 humanitarian aid trucks carrying food, medical equipment, medicines and other equipment to international organizations operating in Gaza.
The staff also monitors the operation of the Gaza power station and the construction of the sewage treatment plant, providing support where needed, under the advisement of Israel's security establishment.
