Khamenei: Obama on 'Wrong Path'

CBNNews.com - TEHERAN, Iran - Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said U.S. President Barack Obama's "unconditional" support of Israel is taking him down the same "wrong path" as the previous U.S. administration.

The Ayatollah was speaking at a two-day conference in Teheran to support the Palestinians.

Khamenei called on Muslims worldwide to fight the Zionists.

"Support and help to Palestinians is a mandatory duty of all Muslims. I now tell all Muslim brothers and sisters to join forces and break the immunity of the Zionist criminals," he said, according to the French news agency AFP.

Describing the Jewish state as a "cancerous tumor," Khamenei said these groups are fighting the Zionist's illegal occupation of their land.

"Another big mistake is to say that the only way to save the Palestinian nation is by negotiations," he said.

"Negotiations with whom? With an occupying and bullying regime that does not believe in any principle other than force? Or negotiations with America and Britain, which committed the biggest sin in creating and supporting this cancerous tumor?" Kamenei asked conference participants.

During his address, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that not allowing anyone to question the Holocaust shows the inherent weakness of Israel and the West.

"The story of the Holocaust, a nation without a homeland and a homeland without a nation…are the big lies of our era," Ahmadinejad said.

"The continuation of the Zionist regime even on one inch of the land of Palestine - because of the nature of that regime - means the continuation of crime, occupation, threat and insult to the nations," Iran's president told attendees.

Ahmadinejad has called for a worldwide referendum to determine the government that should rule over the land occupied by the State of Israel.
