Police Find Rocket Lab Near Jerusalem

JERUSALEM--Israeli border police and Shin Bet arrested three Palestinians for gathering materials to assemble rockets.

The arrest took place last month in the Arab neighborhood of Abu Dis on the eastern edge of Jerusalem, a police spokesperson announced Friday.

Officials found a weapons lab containing pipes and explosives used in the production of rockets.

Last year, the Shin Bet issued a warning that Hamas cells in the West Bank were working to increase their rocket making capabilities, and were seeking to develop Kassam rockets--the kind fired by Hamas and other terror groups in the Gaza Strip on southern Israeli communities.
