The Israel Air Force carried out air strikes against targets in the southern Gaza Strip Wednesday morning. The strikes are in response to rocket fire from Palestinian terrorists in recent days.
Palestinian medical officials have not reported any injuries or deaths.
The Gaza-Israel border has remained relatively quiet since the end of Israel's offensive against the coastal strip's Hamas rulers and its population last winter.
Israel says Gaza-based Palestinian terrorists have fired more than 20 rockets and mortars into the country since January.
One terror group called Ansar al-Sunna has admitted to firing shots at Israel on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
