Israel has been faced with constant dangers since its rebirth as a nation in 1948.
Through it all, evangelical Christians have been among the Jewish State's greatest supporters and Israel acknowledged that support, Friday, at its embassy in Washington, D.C.
More than 200 Christian friends of Israel from around the world attended the Ninth Annual Israel Solidarity Event.
"We deeply appreciate your help, support and love as we have at any time in the last 62 years," Michael Oren, Israel's ambassador to the U.S., said in his keynote address. "Together -- and I stress together -- we will meet these challenges. We will overcome them."
"Israel will not merely survive," he continued. "Israel will thrive."
The event also included appearances from former presidential candidate Gary Bauer and Richard Land of the Southern Baptist Convention.
