Jerusalem Day was celebrated worldwide Wednesday, including in Washington, D.C. The holiday is meant to commemorate Israel's 1967 recapture of Jerusalem.
Lawmakers on Capitol Hill used the 44th anniversary to promote legislation that would recognize Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel and the future site of the American Embassy in the country.
