Netanyahu: Lessons from Holocaust Yet Unlearned

JERUSALEM, Israel - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the world still has not learned the lessons from the Holocaust.

In his address at the National Ceremony Opening the Holocaust and Heroism Remembrance Day at Yad Vashem, Netanyahu said oppressive regimes continue to deny the Nazi genocide and are still calling for Israel's destruction.

"Iran and its proxies, Hezbollah and Hamas, call for the annihilation of the Jewish state and work openly to that end," the prime minister said.

"All civilized people in the world -- all those who say they learned the lessons of the Holocaust -- must unequivocally condemn those who call for the obliteration of the Jewish state," he said.

"Iran is even arming itself with nuclear weapons to accomplish that goal. Up to this moment, the world has not stopped it," Netanyahu said.
