JERUSALEM, Israel --Christians from across the globe are gathering in Jerusalem for Holy Week.
Pilgrims observed Palm Sunday by following what is believed to be the path Jesus Christ took into Jerusalem 2,000 years ago.
They traveled from the Mount of Olives into the Holy City behind a white donkey, recreating the biblical account of Christ's triumphal entry.
They also walked throughout Jerusalem's Old City carrying olive branches, palm fronds, and crosses.
Israeli tourism authorities expect 125,000 Christian visitors will spend Holy Week in Israel.
