JERUSALEM, Israel -- Iranian Deputy Defense Minister Ahman Vahidi says his country is ready to "wipe Israel off the map."
His comments came in response to growing talk of possible military action by Israel to stop Iran's nuclear program.
"Any act by the zionist regime against Iran will bring about its destruction," Vahidi claimed.
World leaders have increasingly discussed the existential threat Iran poses to Israel every day. But what does the average Israeli think?
One recent survey found Israelis are more concerned about the country's internal issues, while foreign diplomats think differently.
CBN News Middle East Bureau Chief Chris Mitchell recently asked Israelis at the Mahane Yehuda shuk (open air market) in the heart of Jerusalem how they felt about a possible war with Iran.
