Israeli police are working to stop a suspected pedophilia ring targeting small children in Jerusalem.
Police have arrested six men in connection with the case, the most recent arrests taking place this past Sunday.
According to police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby, the ring is suspected of molesting 70 children between the ages of two and seven in their religious Jewish neighborhood.
Officials familiar with the investigation said parents tried to solve the problem themselves and took months to involve police.
Ultra-Orthodox Jews are now beginning to seek help from authorities rather than ignoring or whitewashing the problem, according to children's rights advocate Yitzhak Kadman said.
