JERUSALEM, Israel -- The Israel Defense Forces posted a list of attempted terror attacks in 2012 on its website, most of which were not reported in the media.
The IDF lists nine attempts between January and May that were thwarted by Israeli troops, including a would-be bomber during the Passover holiday, caught with explosive devices, three knives and 50 bullets.
The post also provides pictures of some of the confiscated weapons, including hand guns, Uzi and M-16 automatic rifles, Molotov cocktails, pipe bombs, firebombs and other explosive devices, knives, and ammunition.
These are "just some of the many examples of the security threats that the IDF confronts on a daily basis. The alertness of IDF soldiers and their successes in these operations is what prevents terror attacks against Israel," the article concluded.
