JERUSALEM, Israel -- In true jihadist style, Hamas gunmen executed six men Tuesday accused of collaborating with Israel.
There was no trial; the men were dragged onto the street in Gaza City's Sheikh Radwan neighborhood and shot dead at point blank range.
An Associated Press journalist at the scene of the shooting reported seeing an angry mob encircle the bodies, some spitting and stomping on them.
One person tied one of the bodies to a motorcycle and dragged it through the streets as spectators shouted, "Spy! Spy!"
The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the "armed" wing of Hamas, posted a handwritten note accusing the men of giving Israel information on "fighters" and rocket launch pads.
Following the murders, a large crowd of Gazans left their houses to view the corpses, spitting on them and one kicking the head of a victim, the Associated Press reported.
In a similar gangland-style execution last Friday, Hamas gunmen shot dead a suspected collaborator on a street in Gaza City.
