Despite the turmoil in Egypt, the nation's leaders are working on "indirect" talks between Israel and Hamas.

Both Israel and Hamas agreed to a cease fire last Wednesday. Now they are negotiating a truce.

Hamas wants Israel to end it's Gaza blockade even though many restrictions had previously been lifted.

Israel wants an end to Iranian arms smuggling to Hamas through underground tunnels. Those tunnels are along the Egyptian border.
