JERUSALEM, Israel -- Israel's counter-terrorism bureau is warning of a plot to hit Israeli and Jewish targets worldwide in the coming weeks.
Dozens of countries were listed as having "concrete" indications of a terrorist threat.
The bureau suggest travelers and Jewish residents be alert in places like southern Thailand, the southern Philippines, eastern Senegal, the Kashmir region in northern India, northern Nigeria, parts of Kenya and Chechnya.
Officials are concerned terror acts will be timed to coincide with Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot, which begin in early September this year, as well as the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks against the World Trade Center.
The bureau warned that Israeli businessmen and ex-government officials are prime targets for assasination or kidnapping.
