JERUSALEM, Israel -- Israeli doctors discharged six of seven Syrians injured in Syria's civil war, the Israeli Defense Force spokesperson's office reported Wednesday.
"Following completion of their medical treatment, six of the seven injured Syrians that received medical aid in Israel have been released today, February 27, 2013," the statement released by the office said.
"The IDF medical discharge of the Syrians was completed at an undisclosed location for their own safety. An additional Syrian who is severely wounded remains hospitalized for further treatment," the statement concluded.
The injured men asked IDF troops in the Golan Heights near the border with Syria for medical treatment.
The men were transported to Ziv Medical Center in Safed for treatment.
