JERUSALEM, Israel -- The Muslim Brotherhood took credit for a shooting attack on an IDF patrol Sunday evening near Israel's southern border with the Sinai Desert.

There were no injuries or property damage, but the IDF raised the level of alert along the border and advised area residents to remain indoors until an all clear notice.

The Islamist group posted the report on one of its Facebook pages, claiming the men drove to the border and fired on the patrol with rifles and anti-tank launchers.

According to Israel's Channel 10 News, two masked men opened fire on the soldiers, afterward fleeing in some type of four-wheel drive, all-terrain vehicle.
