Hoisting wooden crosses and chanting prayers, thousands of Christians flocked to Jerusalem's Old City to celebrate Good Friday.

Some came to retrace the footsteps of Jesus on his way to Golgotha, the place of his crucifixion. For many, it's the experience of a lifetime.

An anticipated 150,000 visitors will walk the streets of Israel during Easter week and the Jewish festival, according to Israel's Tourism Ministry.
