JERUSALEM, Israel -- Though the Palestinian Authority has no air force, airplanes or helicopters, it is sending women to Russia for paratrooper training.

P.A. security forces released a statement and several photos of four women in paratrooper gear.

The pictures were captioned, they "flew in the sky like hawks to raise the name of our homeland high in the sky," Jerusalem Post Affairs correspondent Khaled Abu Toameh reported.

Meanwhile, P.A. leader Mahmoud Abbas continues with his hardliner announcements, this time saying there will be no Israeli presence in the Jordan Valley between a future Palestinian state and Jordan.
