JERUSALEM, Israel -- An overwhelming majority of Israelis oppose the establishment of a Palestinian state that includes re-dividing Jerusalem,  a poll sponsored by the and conducted by Shivukim-Panorama shows.

According to the published on Sunday, if a future state means dividing Jerusalem, 76.1 percent of Israelis would be against it. Additionally, 74.3 percent of Israelis oppose a two-state solution based on the pre-1967 armistice lines and 76.1 percent are opposed if it calls for an Israeli withdrawal from the Jordan Valley.

All three points are included in the Palestinian Authority's demands, with the additional stipulation that no Jews would be welcome in its future state.

By contrast, Arab citizens of Israel hold identification cards that give them free access throughout the country. They're also free to study in Israeli universities, pursue careers of their choosing and often work side by side with their Jewish counterparts.

While the Israeli left is traditionally more open to compromise on these issues, results of this survey show a consensus across the political spectrum.
