JERUSALEM, Israel -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed increasing terror attacks against Israelis by deploying two more Border Police units and 400 Israel Police officers in Jerusalem.

Netanyahu repeated his oft-stated "zero tolerance for terrorism," saying the government was examining a new policy on opening fire where terrorism is involved.

"The policy is zero tolerance for stone throwing and zero tolerance for terrorism," Netanyahu said. "Since the justice system finds it difficult to deal with minors who throw rocks, changes to orders on opening fire toward stone- and firebomb-throwers will be examined."

Ministers also addressed increased violence on Route 443, a popular alternative to Highway 1 between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Under discussion is increasing the lighting along the highway and adding security cameras.

The announcement follows a meeting earlier this week on beefing up security in the capital and also along Route 443.

Ministers discussed the increase and now nearly daily occurrence of rock attacks and various incendiary devices, Molotov cocktails, pipe bombs and the like. Netanyahu said it's got to stop.
