At Wednesday's ceremonies, Holocaust survivor Haim Roet, father of Israel's Deputy U.N. Ambassador David Roet, spoke about his story, Jerusalem Post reported.
"Having my father relate his story to the nations of the world at the hall I know so well, with my children listening in the audience, symbolizes to me his ultimate victory," the ambassador told the Post.
