Maryland's former lieutenant governor Michael Steele sat down with David Brody to talk about gay marriage, the Obama administration and President Bush.
He also answered questions about Obama's massive public works proposal that some are calling "The New Deal of the 21st Century." It will change the country's infrastructure to its educational system to health care.

It's really kind of the new deal meets the great society to create the new opportunity. And the opportunity is to expand the reach and depth of government in our lives. Bottom line…. Should we look at a massive infrastructure realignment and redevelopment? Absolutely. Should we be doing it now? Not so much because what I think it's going to require is the government asserting itself in a way that permanently picks the winners and losers -- permanently has a role to play.
Steele is currently the chair of GOPAC. He is a lead contender for chairman of the RNC.
