McCain Criticizes Obama for Not Visiting Iraq

Ad Feedback - John McCain is criticizing Obama for not visiting Iraq since becoming a presidential candidate.

"It's long overdue. It's been 871 days since he was there. And I'm confident that when he goes he will then change his position on the conflict in Iraq," McCain said.

Obama's campaign says he has plans to meet with troops and commanders on the ground in Iraq, but that the extended primary battle with Hillary Clinton has caused delays.

Obama told reporters it's not the frequency of visits that matters.

"Their foreign policy has been a failure over the last 8 years," he said. "The war in Iraq was a huge strategic blunder."

McCain invited Obama to go to Iraq with him, but the senator said he does not want to be involved in a "political stunt."
