Biden Speaks at Son's Deployment Service

Ad Feedback - One day after his big debate as a vice presidential candidate, Sen. Joe Biden spoke at his son's deployment ceremony as he heads for Iraq.

Beau Biden, 39, is the attorney general of Delaware and also part of the Delaware National Guard.

Biden told the soldiers that his heart is "full of love and pride."

He said he takes comfort in knowing the 261st Signal Brigade is the "best prepared group of citizen-soldiers" the U.S. has ever sent in harm's way.

Biden added that the unit's members are "the best demonstration of our nation's greatness and our people's goodness."

Republican Sarah Palin spoke at her son's deployment last month. Track Palin, 19, is in Iraq with the Army's 1st Stryker Brigade combat team.
