Sen. Sam Brownback painted a picture of an unselfish candidate who "loves America" on the final day of the Republican National Convention.
Brownback ended his race for the White House last year and has since endorsed John McCain. Thursday night he continued voice his support for his former rival.
"John McCain lives for something bigger than himself," Brownback said. "It's not about him. It's about us."
He explained that McCain comes from the "Teddy Roosevelt wing of the Republican Party" and was a "history maker and with the selection of Sarah Palin, a history breaker."
Brownback downed Democrats, saying they have not supported their message of "Yes We Can" while leading the Senate.
"The other side says 'yes we can' then votes 'no you won't,'" Brownback said. "John McCain says 'yes we will.'"
