CBNNews.com - President Obama paid tribute to the six million jews killed in Nazi Germany as he attended a holocaust "Days of Remembrance" ceremony at the capitol.

President Obama said the world must never allow another holocaust and he is committed to making sure that hatred and injustice are not tolerated.

"It is the grimmest of ironies that one of the most savage and babaric acts of evil in history began in one of the most modernized societies of its time, where so many markers of human progress became tools of human depravity," he said.

President Obama also said part of the responsibility for the holocaust falls on those who accepted the role of bystander.
