Though Mass. Sen. Edward M. Kennedy did not talk about his religion openly during his life, the Kennedy family are well-known for their strong Catholic faith.

Throughout Sen. Kennedy's more than 45 years in the Senate, his faith had an effect on his politics.

CBN News spoke with Dr. Gerson Moreno-Riaño, Department Chair for the Department of Government at the Regent University School of Undergrad Studies, for more insight about Kennedy's faith.
