Former Sen. Timothy Wirth, D-Colo., says the cap-and-trade bill -- also known as the Waxman-Markey bill -- making its way through Congress has "gotten out of control," according to Bloomberg News.

Wirth said, "the Republicans are right -- it's a cap-and-tax bill," Bloomberg News reports.

Meanwhile, a recent study says cap-and-trade will cause serious job losses in America. That plan puts a cap on greenhouse gas emissions.

Environmentalists say it will fight global warming. But a Heritage Foundation study says it will lead to 46,000 job losses every year -- in the state of Ohio alone.
