One health insurance company is coming out swinging against the Democrats' health care reform plans.
Politico.com reports that California-based insurer Anthem Blue Cross recently sent an e-mail to its customers and employees.
In the e-mail, the company warned that the health care reform plan could cause millions of people to lose their private coverage, increase premiums and limit customers choice of medications.
Blue Cross said the Democrats health care plan "does not meet our definition of responsible and sustainable reform and would likely have a significant negative impact on our partners and customers."
The insurance giant directed customers to get involved in the health care debate.
Blue Cross advised people to "make your voice heard on this important issue by writing Congress and encouraging your elected officials to get health reform done -- and done right -- by acting in a bipartisan fashion to make health care more affordable, improve quality, and cover all Americans in a sustainable way."
