House Democrats patched up their differences to advance the president's health care overhaul bill, Friday, the last day before lawmakers begin their month-long summer recess.

Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Henry Waxman plans to present the bill to committee and vote later tonight.

The agreement is progress after a week of inner-party negotiations among liberal and conservative Blue-Dog Democrats.

The Senate side isn't turning out to be as productive. They've asked for additional time to produce an agreement next month.
