Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has called President Barack Obama's climate bill an "enormous" threat to the economy.
His plan calls for America to use less energy in order to decrease global warming.
But Palin said the country's recovery, and unemployment, is at stake under the so-called cap-and-trade plan.
So she is offering an alternative.
In an opinion-editorial piece in Tuesday's Washington Post, Palin writes: "We are ripe for economic growth and energy independence if we responsibly tap the resources that God created right underfoot on American soil."
Palin said that by using our own energy, we will protect the environment better than the foreign nations that sell us oil and other resources.
