An amendment stemming from the Senate's $680 billion defense spending bill expands the federal hate crimes law to include those attacked because of sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or disability.
Many have raised questions about what this means for Christian pastors whose faith moves them to speak out against homosexuality.
In a recent interview with CBN News, conservative radio host Janet Parshall, of Janet Parshall's America, said there is now protection in the law for Christian pastors.  Click play for her comments.

At the request of Defense Secretary Robert Gates, the bill also eliminates nearly $2 billion to produce more F-22 fighters.
The Senate bill must now be reconciled with a similar measure passed by the House in June.
