South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford has been censured by his fellow Republicans after he admitted to having an extramarital affair and leaving on a secret trip to meet his lover in Argentina.
Twenty-two members of the state GOP executive committee voted to formally reprimand Sanford on Monday.
Ten of the committee members have asked for his resignation.
Sanford has repeatedly said he will serve the remaining 18 months of his term.
