More Americans call themselves conservatives than any other political label.

A new Gallup poll finds that 40 percent describe their political views as conservative.

While 35 percent say they are moderates. Only 21 percent call themselves liberal.

Gallup gets its findings through multiple surveys every year. Some years those surveys include more than 40,000 interviews.
