Former First Lady Laura Bush weighed in, Monday, on Sonia Sotomayor's nomination to be the next Supreme Court justice.
Mrs. Bush was asked her thoughts on ABC's Good Morning America.
"I think she sounds like a very interesting and good nominee," she said.
"As a woman, I'm proud that there might be another woman on the court," Mrs. Bush continued. "I wish her well."
She was interviewed in Texas where her and former President Bush now live. Mrs. Bush added that her husband will make no comment on decisions made by the Obama administration.
"He owes President Obama his silence on issues and there's no reason to second-guess any decisions he makes," she said.
If confirmed,Judge Sotomayor would be the first Hispanic and the third woman ever to sit on the high court.
