GOP Senators are protesting a letter Obama wrote supporting a government insurance plan.
    
That plan would compete with private insurers and cost an estimated $1.5 trillion over the next ten years.
    
Nearly all Republicans oppose it but given the Democrat's majority, Congress may be able to pass a health overhaul bill with little, if any GOP support.
