South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford returned to work Friday as his lieutenant governor is urging him not to resign after the controversy over his affair with a woman in Argentina.
Lieutenant Governor Andre Bauer would take over as governor if Sanford stepped down.
But Bauer said he will help the governor through his remaining year and half in office.
Meanwhile, Sanford's wife is speaking out for the first time about her husband's affair.
