Nancy Reagan joined lawmakers and government officials past and present to unveil a statue of her husband's likeness in the Capitol rotunda.
The statue's base is made with shards of the Berlin Wall to represent the role Reagan played in the fall of communism.
Members on both sides of the isle offered tributes to his legacy.
Nancy Reagan held back tears as she offered her thanks on behalf of her late husband.
"The statue is a wonderful likeness of Ronnie and he would be so proud," she said. "You know the last time I was here was for Ronnie's service."
Wednesday, Mrs. Reagan joined President Obama as he signed the Ronald Reagan Centennial Commission Act.
