Former Secretary of State Colin Powell is saying he's still a Republican despite voting for President Obama in November.
Powell has been taking heat from Republicans for his endorsement of Obama. Some Republicans even question whether he is still in the GOP.
Over the weekend, Powell said the Republican party needs to change and become more inclusive.
"I have always felt that the Republican Party should be more inclusive than it generally has been over the years," Powell said during his appearance on CBS's "Face the Nation" Sunday.
"And I believe we need a strong Republican Party that is not just anchored in the base but has built on the base to include more individuals," he added.
Powell also said this is not the first time he's voted for a Democrat. He voted for Jimmy Carter, John F. Kennedy, and Lyndon Johnson.
