President Obama is applauding Pakistan and Afghanistan for their commitment to helping the U.S. fight terrorists holed up in their territory.
On Wednesday, the President met with the leaders of both countries to urge a tougher stance with the militants who attacked the U.S. on 9/11 -- and who terrorize civilians in their countries everyday.
The President admitted that the road will be difficult he also urged caution that the path to success is slow and unsure.
"I'm pleased that these two men, elected leaders of Afghanistan and Pakistan, fully appreciate the seriousness of the threat that we face and have reaffirmed their commitment to confronting it," Obama said.
The U.S. says to win this war, people on both sides of the border have to be engaged.
