The leader of the world's 300 million Orthodox Christians will visit with President Barack Obama at the White House Tuesday.

Patriarch Bartholemew is known as "The Green Patriarch" for his stance on environmental issues.

In a speech to the American Bible Society last week, he encouraged all those who believe in the Holy Scriptures to cut back on their energy use as an "act of faith" and "a sacrifice to our creator."
