The chairman of the Congressional Prayer Caucus is asking President Obama to correct a speech he delivered in Indonesia, in November.
During that speech, Obama said America's motto is "E pluribus unum," which means "Out of many, one."
In a letter, Rep. Randy Forbes, R-Va., pointed out that America's motto is actually "In God we trust."
Congress approved those words in 1965 and President Dwight Eisenhower signed it into law.
Forbes and the bipartisan Congressional Prayer Caucus said a correction is important because Obama's remarks do not "accurately reflect America."
