Forget being called into the principal's office, how about being called to the Oval Office?
President Obama unveiled a new "get tough on schools" policy. The administration is targeting schools with high dropout rates.
The government will use more than $900 million dollars this year for school turnaround grants.
To get that money, districts have do do things like replace principals and teachers. Some schools will even have to shut down.
"If a school continues to fail its students year after year after year, if it doesn't show signs of improvement, then there's got to be a sense of accountability," President Obama said.
The idea is similar to what happened last week in Rhode Island where every teacher at one under-performing high school was laid off.
